My name is David Parris and I am the founder and owner of Parris HandyMan Services. I started this business after remodeling my own home I bought in February of 2026. I had very little knowledge and background in construction, home renovation, or handyman tasks before I started on my own house.

The whole idea and journey began when I walked into my house the first time with my realtor. I saw a vision and ideas began to come to me. That night I thought about my Grandpas and how, when I was growing up, they always seemed to know how to do any project around the house and had the tools to do so. I found myself thinking I do not know how to do anything when it comes to working on a house, and thus began the journey to learn.

That process involved me doing research to learn how to do every project on my house. I knew it would not be easy and I knew I would have to do a project, tear it back apart, and try again until I perfected it. Watching YouTube videos, handyman content creators, and using AI, I was able to learn a lot, and my visions from the first time I stepped foot in my house came to life.

Through the 6 month journey of remodeling my house I found myself falling in love and enjoying every second of it. Late nights, early mornings, and weekends. Basically every second I was not working my “career job,” I was working on the remodel. Date nights with my fiancée looked different now. Me covered in dust and drywall mud or paint, my fiancée sitting on a dusty bucket in the corner of the room wondering if this is what life was going to be like for good.

If you’ve read this far, thank you first off. But my point is I am not a multiple person company. I am not in this for huge profits. I am honestly in this because I found a passion I never knew I had, and I have always enjoyed helping others and seeing problems solved.
